Get answers to common questions about chiropractic care and our services.
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, particularly those affecting the spine. Chiropractors are known for spinal adjustments and can use a range of treatments to help the body's neuro musculoskeletal system (joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves) aiming to alleviate pain and improve function without surgery or medication.
Do I need to see my GP before seeing a Chiropractor?
No. Chiropractors are primary healthcare practitioners. This means we are trained to diagnose and determine whether Chiropractic is the right place and suitable treatment for you. So there is no need for you to see your GP before undergoing Chiropractic care.
How long will it take?
The treatment times vary depending upon what issues are being addressed and the practitioner you are with. It's best to ask the Chiropractor who's treating you to give you the best idea of this. Generally our Chiropractic sessions range anywhere from 10 to 20 mins, with the initial visits being longer as they include an examination, and consultation.
